As a Business Development Manager for the APAC region, you'll be at the forefront of expanding Blockus's market presence and driving growth through strategic partnerships. You'll work closely with potential clients and partners in the gaming industry, helping them understand the transformative potential of blockchain technology in gaming. Your role will be crucial in identifying, nurturing, and converting opportunities while ensuring long-term success for our partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead new customer discovery initiatives across the APAC region, identifying and qualifying potential partners and opportunities in the gaming and entertainment industry.
- Drive the customer onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to active partner while maintaining high engagement levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing ongoing support and strategic guidance to maximize partnership value.
- Create and execute territory-specific business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Represent Blockus at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, with 25-50% travel required for onsite deployments and relationship building.
- Collaborate closely with the Solution Engineering team to ensure technical requirements are well-understood and addressed during the sales process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, pipeline progress, and market intelligence in CRM systems.
- Provide regular reports on market trends, competitive analysis, and growth opportunities in the APAC gaming market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in gaming and entertainment.
- Proven track record of identifying, nurturing, and closing strategic partnerships in the APAC region.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and Web3 concepts, particularly in relation to gaming applications.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing complex, long-cycle sales processes.
- Cultural awareness and experience working across different APAC markets.
- Passionate about gaming, blockchain, and Web3 technologies.
