Blockus is seeking a talented junior full stack developer to join our Engineering team. You'll be working on our innovative blockchain gaming platform, helping to build and maintain both frontend and backend components. Blockus Overview

Blockus is building an all-in-one platform that brings both players and game studios to web3 / blockchain gaming. We believe the user experience is currently too fragmented and complex. With Blockus, game studios can easily make an NFT collection come to life in their games, and players can seamlessly buy and interact with them in-game, without needing any knowledge of wallets or blockchain. Our vision is to interconnect the web3 gaming economy, akin to how Google and Amazon connect the internet.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our React-based frontend applications
• Contribute to our Node.js and Express.js backend services
• Implement and test API integrations with various blockchain networks
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack
• Learn and apply best practices in web3 and blockchain development

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 2 years of experience in full stack web development min
• Familiarity with React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Basic understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Eager to learn about blockchain technologies and web3 development
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Interest in gaming is a plus!

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Basic knowledge of blockchain concepts and cryptocurrencies
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS
• Experience with Firebase/Firestore or similar NoSQL databases
• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts
• Experience with or passion for game development
